Veteran Malayalam film actor Thilakan, who received the `Padmasree' award, on Sunday said he was extremely happy to receive the honour.
Thilakan told PTI that he had not expected such an honour, but was happy to get one of the nation's biggest awards.
Top-notch singer of yesteryears KP Udayabhanu, most of whose songs were noted for their emotional rendering of lyrics, is among the Keralities chosen for the honour this year.
