According to the police, militants threw a grenade at the Batamaloo bus yard in the heart of the Srinagar city when a huge crowd of passengers was waiting to board buses to various towns and villages.

Terrorist activities have picked up in Jammu and Kashmir with at least 16 people killed and over 40 injured since Sunday in various incidents. The worst attack took place in Srinagar on Sunday, when separatist insurgents triggered a massive blast leaving seven soldiers dead.
