Three-month women?s hockey camp underway

THE THREE-MONTH national women?s hockey camp, organised by Sports Authority of India (SAI) is underway at SAI Regional Centre, Bishenkheri.

THE THREE-MONTH national women’s hockey camp, organised by Sports Authority of India (SAI) is underway at SAI Regional Centre, Bishenkheri.

The camp is being organised to select the team for the 11th Women World Cup, to be organised in Madrid, Spain, in September and Asian Games Doha in December. Players like Kanti Baa, Masira Surin, Sarita Lakra, Subhadra Pradhan, who had recently participated in Commonwealth Games and won silver medal, are participating in the camp.

The camp is being conducted by chief national coach MK Kaushik, national coach Anurita Saini, national coach YS Chauhan and national coach Subiah.

The centre has recently set up two astroturfs. One of this will be floodlit.
