Anthony Charles Lynton Blair popularly known as Tony Blair, who came to power on 1997, is now the Labour Party's longest-serving Prime Minister. John Smith's successor, he brought Labour Party into power after continuous 18 years rule of the conservatives.

A law student from St. John's College, Oxford, Blair was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 6 May 1953. following his graduation from Oxford, he enrolled as a pupil barrister, where he also met his wife Cherie Blair.
Blair, an Anglican of the High Church, prefers to keep religious affairs out of political perview. State of affairs in Britian started changing following his election as the Prime Minister. Still today the focus of the party lies on the issues like education, the NHS and crime, which are considered to be the nucleus of Labour's agenda.
But the act of supporting the US led 'war on terror', have shifted Blair's image from a politician with a domestic agenda into a war leader, resulting in the deterioration of his support base.
Britain's top-selling daily newspaper The Sun however backed Blair's re-election. However it is for the world to wait and watch if Blair can secure a third consecutive election victory for the Labour Party in spite of a broken electorate.
