Traders? community should support SP candidate: Kanchhal
NATIONAL PRESIDENT of Samajwadi Party Vyapar Sabha and member of Rajya Sabha, Banwari Lal Kanchhal appealed the traders to ensure victory of party candidate for mayoral post Sitaram Jaiswal in Municipal Corporation election.
He claimed that in three year tenure, SP led government has taken 300 decision in interest of traders and the entire traders’ community should be thankful to Mulayam Singh, who categorically denied to introduce Value Added Tax (VAT) system in UP.
Kanchhal addressed various meetings in favour of Sitaram Jaiswal and said SP has allocated 50 per cent ticket to the members of traders’ community in civic body election and it is the only party which had honestly given the representation to them in politics and power.
He said on the eve of Diwali, traders clear their outstanding payments and they should clear their political debt by casting their vote in favour of SP candidate.
Kanchhal claimed that Sitaram Jaiswal is a senior member of traders’ community who has extended helping hand with all the traders when they were in need of the help and every trader should responded Sitaram in same way.
He condemned the forces trying to communalise the election.
In another press conference, the former state minister and MLA Jitendra Jaiswal alias Pappu appealed the traders’ community to ensure Sitaram’s victory to give the city a new face-lift.
He expressed his concern over repeated incident of the clashes between members of two community and said certain political leaders are trying to polarise the vote banks but the traders and common people have realise their strategy and they would foil it.
Meanwhile, president of university teachers association Prof Chitranjan Mishra appealed the people to ensure the victory of independent candidate Prof Anirudh Prasad. He said Prasad would be the citizen mayor, if people would vote him to power. He condemned political party for not believing their devoted party workers and filed the defectors of other party in this election.
