Train robbery near Solapur

Robbers struck at the Coimbatore -Rajkot Express train near here and decamped with valuables worth Rs one lakh, police sources said on Saturday.

Robbers struck at the Coimbatore -Rajkot Express train near here and decamped with valuables worth Rs one lakh, police sources said on Saturday.

The incident took place at Angar station on Solapur- Daund route, Western Maharashtra, at around 2230 hrs last night, they said.

The train (no 6614) was on its way to Rajkot and had stopped at Angar for crossing of another train. Unidentified robbers entered in five bogies of the stationary train and looted passengers, the sources added.
