Train services disrupted in Balasore

Train services were disrupted for over four hours following a rail roko agitation at Balasore.

agitation at Rupsa railway station on Thursday, railway sources said.

The agitation was led by the Mayurbhanj and Balasore district units of BJP demanding extension of passenger train services between Baripada and Rupsa upto Balasore.

They also demanded introduction of express train services between Baripada and Howrah and Baripada and Puri.

The rail roko was called off following intervention of senior railway officials.
