Talking to reporters in Warangal, party President K Chandrasekhar Rao also demanded that the government withdraw the police cases filed against Telangana leaders.

Earlier, he visited those injured in the Mahabubabad incident last week at MGM Hospital in Warangal.

Opposing Jagan's visit to Warangal to console the families of those who allegedly committed suicide following the death of his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, pro-Telangana supporters threw stones at Congress leaders and clashed with police at Mahabubabad in the district. Nearly two dozen persons were injured in firing and clashes.

The Telangana activists were opposed to the Kadapa Lok Sabha MP because he is a supporter of united Andhra Pradesh demand.

Rao also wondered why the main Opposition TDP has not talked about the Telangana issue during its three-day annual conclave here.
