Truck crushes 2 near Mangliya

TWO PERSONS were crushed to death by a speeding truck at Talavali Chanda culvert near Mangaliya this afternoon. The truck driver is reported to be absconding. Lasudiya police have seized the truck and motorcycle.

TWO PERSONS were crushed to death by a speeding truck at Talavali Chanda culvert near Mangaliya this afternoon. The truck driver is reported to be absconding. Lasudiya police have seized the truck and motorcycle.

According to information, 35-year-old Gopal son of Girdhari Choudhary and 45-year-old Kanhaiyyalal son of Bholaram died on the spot.

They were residents of Shriram Talavali on Dhar Road. The two were heading towards Dewas on motorcycle (MP14 JF 5144) when they were hit by the truck (MKI 5147) at about 2.30 pm. Police said that the truck driver lost balance while attempting to take turn from the culvert.

The identity of the driver could not be ascertained as he abandoned the truck and ran away. Gopal and Kanhaiyyalal were taken to MY Hospital but were declared brought dead by the doctors. The bodies were sent for postmortem and later handed over to their families. Search for the driver is on.
