A 22-YEAR-OLD woman has alleged that two youths, Ehsan (25) and Asad (27) had raped her after administering her some drugged food and had been blackmailing her with a video CD in which they had recorded the incident.

The MP Nagar police have registered cases of rape and blackmailing against the accused and arrested them. The CD, however, has not been recovered so far.

According to M P Nagar TI G P Sharma, the victim runs a placement agency at M P Nagar. She had come in contact with the two youths about six months ago.

In January 2006, the victim’s mother was suddenly partially paralysed. That time Ehsan and Asad told her about a baba (faith healer) at Kolar Road who was known for curing paralytic patients. They took her to the baba’s ashram but since there was already a huge crowd, the trio returned.

On their way back, Ehsan and Asad took the girl to a room on the pretext of meeting a friend. However, there was no one there. Ehsan already had the keys of the room. The men then served some eatables to the girl, which she alleged were laced with some drugs. She lost consciousness.

Taking advantage of that both men raped her. The victim realised what had happened to her after she regained consciousness.
After a few days, they again took her to the same room. This time the girl was shocked to see a video CD of her rape that the youths had filmed while committing the crime.

Ehsan and Asad then started extorting money from her. She was forced to pay them every time out of fear of the CD being made public. She said in her report that once she paid Rs 25,000 and again Rs 30,000 through cheques to the two culprits.
However, after some months the victim began pressurising the culprits to hand over the CD to her. Subsequently, the culprits called her to the same room on May 2, promising to return the CD and money.

However, when she did not return home that day her parents panicked and lodged a missing person report with the M P Nagar police.

Meanwhile, on May 3 someone phoned the victim’s parents that she was lying in a semi-conscious condition in the Gondwana Express train coming towards Bhopal. The parents informed the police and they reached the Bhopal railway station.

The victim was recovered from a sleeper bogey of the train and was admitted to hospital for treatment. She regained consciousness on May 4 and narrated the entire run of events to the police.

On her complaint, M P Nagar police have registered a case under Sections 376 and 386 IPC against Ehsan and Asad. Both the accused have been arrested but the CD has not yet been recovered. Further investigations are on in the matter.
