Divisional Forest Officer C S Mann said, “It was a unique catch as the skin and flesh of the animal had been thrown by the poachers in a dry tube well. A portion of its casing had to be cut off after digging earth from a large area to reach the hidden remains.” The poachers on Wednesday afternoon killed a buck and injured a female deer in the forest.
The injured animal has been captured and rushed to Sehore for treatment, SDO (Forest) S K Nigam informed. Accused Adil and Sarwar, who were arrested on Thursday, reportedly told the forest officials that as soon as they brought the black buck home a flying squad comprising forest officials surrounded them, which is why they were forced to dump the animal in a nearby bore.
