District development commissioner Yasha Mudgal, who visited the bank of the rivulet here on Sunday, said that the water treatment project was taken on trial basis in the state to purify water.

The district administration had approached higher authorities to solve the long-pending demand of the people of the area for the beautification and cleanliness of the rivulet.

Mudgal said that the water treatment project was being launched soon free of cost on three-month trial basis and if the results of the project were successful then the administration would approach higher ups for necessary funding, she added.
