Raut who won her first title at 17 in 1996, and is also friends with supermodel Christy Turlington wore a pink YSL gown complete with a veil of the same colour and diamond drop earrings.

The bridesmaids, Liya Kebede (Estee Lauder’s first-ever black model) and Anne V (often seen on the Chanel ramp) also were dressed in YSL gowns. Raut who wanted to keep the wedding a small affair invited close friends Liya Kebede, supermodels Anne V, Diana Dondoe (star of Balenciaga, Celine and Ungaro campaigns) and legendary supermodel Iman. After the ceremony the couple went to honeymoon in the Hamptons.
Ujjwala who misses both her mother’s mouth-watering home food and Govinda’s films, served a three-tiered Black Hound cake at the wedding, followed by an elaborate main course with a lavish spread of wild mushroom and lobster and celery tartlets, a chilled pea soup, crab salad, and roasted Amish chicken with young spinach and caramelised onion and fruit sherbat. Ujjwala didn’t have her close family around for the wedding. Her parents were not able to make it to the wedding celebrations as things happened too soon!
