The firebrand Hindutva leader also targeted Congress general secretary, Rahul Gandhi over his recent statements.

Talking to reporters after attending a function in the adjoining Wardha district, she said Singhal had said nothing wrong and he was only expressing his views. The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister's reaction was sought after Singhal's warning to the younger Gandhi over critical remarks against the RSS.

Targeting Rahul, Bharti said the young Congress leader has been making "irresponsible" statements against RSS.

The Amethi MP had equated RSS with banned terror outfit SIMI.

Bharti advised Rahul to study about the Sangh's history and activities before making such remarks. Describing Rahul as her younger brother, the former union minister said he has been making such statements after taking lessons from senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh.
