Uma to kick off ?Janadesh Yatra? from February 6

Later, after addressing a public meeting here at the district headquarters on February 8, the yatra will reach Mohammadabad and culminate there, said in-charge of the yatra for UP and former MLC Ramashish Rai.
Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, Rai made it clear that the culmination of the first phase of the yatra at Mohammadabad in Ghazipur was to focus on the deteriorating law and order in the State. The second phase of the yatra would begin on February 23 and end on February 27, he added.
It would cover districts of West UP like Ghaziabad, Meerut, Baghpat, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Bijnor.
The third phase will begin on March 3 and end on March 7. It will cover Gorakhpur and Ballia districts. It will culminate at Jai Prakash Nagar in Ballia.
Highlighting the objectives of the yatra, Rai said it was aimed at creating awareness amongst the masses for self-dignity, security and good governance.
However, the local BJP men close to Uma Bharti were in a dilemma whether to participate in the programme or keep themselves aloof from it.
In an informal chat, Uma Bharti's personal assistant Dr Shyam Datt on Sunday said that the preparations regarding Uma Bharati's Janadesh yatra were in the final stages.
It should be stated here that after being expelled from the BJP, Uma Bharti had announced a yatra in December 2004 at Vindhyachal. After the announcement, the BJP leadership had called her back in the party and given her the responsibility of Bihar Assembly elections. Again on December 24, 2005 as an expelled BJP leader she declared to start her 'Janadesh Yatra' from Vindhyachal to Chitrakoot and declare her future strategy. But recently she disclosed in a Press meet at New Delhi that she had been preparing to launch a new party.
Datt said that announcements regarding the formation of Uma Bharti’s new party would be made at Chitrakoot after the conclusion of the 90-day-long Janadesh Yatra.
The preparations regarding the formation of the new party had also been completed, he added.
