Hegde said that the Bank was very sensitive about customer needs and continuous appraisals were done in order to keep their products and services up to date. Babulal Baheti speaking as the chief guest said that Union Bank was the first bank to have opened a branch in this area.

Deputy general manager K R Vijayendra addressing a brokers/customers meet, said that an IPO of Rs 4.5 crore would be floated through book building process on February 15. The last IPO issued in 2002 at a premium of Rs 6 was oversubscribed six times its face value.

General manager (loans) KSM Rao also addressed the gathering. Assistant general manager Raman Agarwal welcomed the guests and senior manager (rajbhasha) Shankar Sharma conducted the programme.
