Synopsis: In today's world, is the institution of marriage still relevant? Does a child need the love of both parents to grow naturally? These are the issues Unns probes...

The story is narrated by a Natasha Patel (Juhee Babbar). Natasha, a legal advisor, is an idealist by nature. In her diary, she pens downs the upheaval in the life of her close friend Ria (Rituparna Sengupta), who has married Rahul Malhotra (Sanjay Kapoor), a company executive, on a rebound, after the failure of her first relationship.

Rahul, who is a child of broken family, deeply values relationships. On the wedding day itself, he endears himself to Ria's parents and Natasha's by his behaviour. Being someone who has gone through the pain of a broken relationship, he vows to care for his marriage with utmost sincerity and turns out to be a loving and sensitive life partner to Ria.

Sadly though, Ria, who has still not recovered from the failure of her first relationship with Rishi Rampal (Sudanshu Pandde), the CEO of an advertising company, is cold and frigid towards Rahul during their honeymoon and does not reciprocate his warmth and love.

Ria had broken up with Rishi when she discovered that Rishi was already married. Rishi had tried his best to explain to Ria the reason for not revealing the truth to her, but she had refused to listen. And on the rebound, had married Rahul...

Once when Rahul is on an official trip abroad, Ria happens to meet Rishi, after a long time. Ria gets disoriented - suddenly marriage and its obligations seem cumbersome to her. Then there is an unwanted pregnancy. Little things start irritating her till one day she tells Rahul she is fed up and would like to end their marriage. Rahul is shocked. Ria's friend Natasha and even Rishi advise here against this extreme step.

Surprisingly, Natasha's fiance Sameer Patel, a lawyer, agrees to help her get the divorce.

Do emotions take over the legal battle or is it the other way round? Who wins?
