A woman gave birth to a child in a jeep after a government hospital allegedly refused to admit her at Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district, officials said.
The incident took place yesterday when Vikram brought his wife Nilam to a primary health centre in Baghpat after she complained of labour pain.
He alleged that doctors at the health centre demanded bribe to admit his wife.
Vikram then decided to go to another hospital when his wife gave birth to the child in the jeep.
An inquiry has been ordered into the incident, chief medical officer JP Sharma said, adding that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
