A Congress delegation led by UPCC organisation incharge Satyadev Tripathi went to Raj Bhawan and met Governor TV Rajeswar today. At a time when the investigating agencies were doing their work, the Congress was not in favour of giving a clean chit or holding anyone responsible for the blasts, said members of the Congress delegation who also submitted a memo to the Governor.

Others who went to the Raj Bhawan included former UPCC president Arun Kumar Singh Munna, UPCC chief spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh, Veerendra Madan and Vipin Bihari Shukla.

The CM was making attempts to interfere with the process of law keeping in mind the vote bank politics, they said adding that only Maharashtra government or the investigating agencies were in a position to fix responsibility for the blasts. The CM should be asked not to interfere with the process of law, they said, demanding an independent inquiry.
