Upset youth ends life

A YOUTH allegedly committed suicide after failing in an exam. The deceased, Martand Vikram Singh, 21, son of Samar Bahadur Singh, a resident of Hari Ganga Nagar near Ratanpur in Misrod threw himself ahead of the approaching train.

The body was found in a mutilated state. Police said Singh, a student of homoeopathy in the second year, had failed in a subject the result of which was declared a day ago. Apparently upset over the failure he took the extreme step.

His classmates in college told police that he looked upset. Singh hailed from Uttar Pradesh and lived in a rented house near Ratanpur on Hoshangabad Road. The police are investigating the circumstances in which he died.
