"A Multi-National Division-Baghdad soldier was listed as 'duty status -- whereabouts unknown' today in Baghdad at approximately 7:30 pm," the military said in a statement on Monday.

"Coalition and Iraqi security Forces immediately responded to attempt to locate the soldier," the statement said.
