Vettel takes pole for Korean GP

Sebastian Vettel will start from pole position for the Korean Grand Prix after finishing narrowly ahead of Red Bull teammate Mark Webber in today's qualifying.

Sebastian Vettel will start from pole position for the Korean Grand Prix after finishing narrowly ahead of Red Bull teammate Mark Webber in Saturday's qualifying.

Vettel set a time of 1 minute, 35.585 seconds, to better Formula One championship leader Webber by just seven hundredths of a second.

It will be the second straight race in which the Red Bulls have monopolized the front row.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, who is locked with Vettel 14 points behind Webber in the standings, qualified third and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was fourth.

The fifth championship contender, Jenson Button of McLaren, qualified in seventh.
