Violence in Kashmir Valley yet again

One person was killed on Saturday when protesters clashed with police during a shutdown called by separatists in the Kashmir Valley, reports Rashid Ahmad.

One person was killed on Saturday when protesters clashed with police during a shutdown called by separatists in the Kashmir Valley. Meanwhile, police crackdown on separatists continues with three more leaders of the Geelani-led group being held.

Javaid Iqbal, a resident of Nowhatta area, was injured in police action on protesters. However, he was declared brought dead at the SMHS hospital. Another youth was also injured.

Sporadic protests occurred at several places in the city and normal life was paralysed by the strike call given by the Separatists’ Coordination Committee.
