Vital religious places to have a new look for Ardh Kumbh
Ardh Kumbh fair will no more be an occasion meant for a particular community. In fact the initiative of the Tourism Department will make it an affair to attract the tourists from various communities with the help of its new scheme.

Under the scheme, the measures will be undertaken to beautify the temples, churches, gurudwaras and mosques to attract people from all the communities.
Besides, the beautification of main tourist spots is already on the cards.
According to RK Yadav, regional tourist officer, the proposals worth Rs 2.50 crore have already been sent to the government for approval.
The names of places to be beautified are: Bhardwaj Ashram, Bade Hanumanji temple (bund), Kalyani Devi temple, Samurda Koop, Ulta Qila (Jhusi), Mankameshwar temple, Shivkuti temple, Hanuman temple (Rambagh), Jama Masjid (Chowk), Chaudah Pir Baba Ki Dargah (Cantt), Sayed Salar Ghazi Maqsood ki Mazar (Sohbatia Bagh), Guru Nanak Darbar (Meerapur), Khusrobagh, Anand Bhawan, Swaraj Bhawan and Minto Park.
"The first step towards the beautification will be arrangement of lights on the premises and near the religious spots mentioned in the list. It is the step towards making the people of other communities feel special and also make them realise that there is something for each one them here," said Yadav. "However, we have already done the renovation work in Someshwar Nath temple in Arail, where approximately Rs 6 lakh have been spent on the construction of parking area and beautification of the temple.
A shade for the tourists is also being constructed with the expenditure of Rs 10 lakh.
There are plans to develop other historical spots lying in the rural areas," he said.
"The proposal worth Rs 50 lakh for arrangements of floodlights in four historical spots of the city has been approved by the head office. The spots are All Saints' Cathedral, Public Library, Vijayanagaram Hall and Senate Hall of Allahabad University. The task of lighting the All Saints' Cathedral has already been completed," said the regional tourist officer.
