A graduate of Zimbabwe's CFX Academy, Sibanda is a contemporary of Tatenda Taibu, Hamilton Masakadza and Stuart Matsikenyeri.

He is an opening batsman and an occasional medium-pace bowler. His strike rate in Tests is 65.45 and ODI it stands at 39.27.

A superb timer of the ball, he however has to learn how to build a big innings. With the potential to be a batsman of international class, he has to grow with the trade.
