WB invites Digvijay Singh to address global meet

The Congress leader and former MP CM Digvijay Singh has been invited to address a four-day global conference at UK's University of Oxford from April 9.

Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has been invited by the World Bank to address a four-day global conference at UK's University of Oxford from April nine.

Singh has been asked at the 'World Ethics Forum' to share his experience, achievements in public service and personal reflections on `Leadership, ethics and integrity in public life', according to a letter from World Bank to the Congress General Secretary.

Apart from Singh, other panelists include former prime minister of Papua New Guinea, Mekere Morauta, former President of Bolivia, Eduardo Rodriguez, former Permanent Secretary for Governance and Ethics (Kenya), John Githongo.

The opening keynote address would be delivered by former President of Ireland Mary Robinson, the letter, copy of which was released in Bhopal on Thursday.

The conference would be attended by over 200 participants including government and civil society leaders from developing countries and leading experts on governance and development issues, the letter said.
