The details about Allahabad accommodated in the website will be an added advantage for pilgrims and tourists.
The website furnished with all the details will attract the foreign tourists besides proving help to the Indian nationals.
According to mela officer Pragyan Ram Mishra, the website will be completed by September 15.
The website has been named as 'Ardh Kumbh 2007.'
"Special instructions given by the government to spread awareness about Ardh Kumbh at national and international level is the main reason for the launch of the website," said Mishra.
The entire responsibility of creating the website has been given to UPDESCO.
According to the sources, the website will have numerous informations.
Vital among them are details about the significance of the holy city Prayag, places of pilgrimage in the city as well about those located in the adjoining districts.
There will be details about the arrival and departure of buses and trains, address of government guest houses.
Dates of important 'Snan parv,' the date on which the mela will begin along with the date of its conclusion, auspicious dates of 'kalpvas', number of sectors prepared for the pilgrims, the location of pontoon bridges, and the exact area covering the mela have also been included in the website.
To facilitate the foreign tourists and those arriving from other states of the country, there will be the entire information about the approximate charges of ferry to avoid the cases of charging extra by the boatmen.
Besides, there will be details about the entry and exit points in the mela and the spots assigned for the parking of vehicles.
According to the mela officer, detail about the city and its historical venues will attract tourists.
Regional tourist officer RK Yadav said that the tourism website was already on the Net for the last 3 years which has all the details about the city from tourism point of view.
"However, on the occasion of the Ardh Kumbh, the website will be enhanced with more information about the upcoming projects and also the details about the adjoining regions," said Yadav.
Those needing the guides could also take the help of the website to search for one, buses could be booked if the need arises.
The electrical boards will be installed at various spots to give the exact information about the distance from the mela region.
"The amount to be sanctioned for the purpose of the website has still not been decided," said Mishra.
