An NGO has launched a website that provides an insight into Tibetan society and focuses on the protection and development of its culture.

The website, www.tibetculture.net, has been opened by the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC) prior to the Tibetan New Year Tuesday, a source said.

The website offers 20 features, including Tibetan News, Study on Tibet, Religious World, Listen to Tibet and Tibetan folk customs amongst others.

Tibetan News provides news updates, while Listen to Tibet replays local radio broadcasts online in both Tibetan and Han languages, the source said.

The CAPDTC is an NGO consisting of people from around the world who are campaigning for the protection and development of Tibetan culture.
