West Bengal: Two Trinamool leaders killed

Two Trinamool Congress leaders were on Wednesday killed and four others injured allegedly by CPI(M) cadres at Kharjut in Bardhaman district.

Two Trinamool Congress leaders were on Wednesday killed and four others injured allegedly by CPI(M) cadres at Kharjut in Bardhaman district.

Sk Samuddin (40), a primary school teacher and local Trinamool leader, was stabbed to death in a field allegedly by about 50 CPI(M) workers, police said.

While, another Trinamool leader Jafar Ali (60) was beaten by lathis by them. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to injuries.

Two others, who were seriously injured in the incident, are battling for life in the hospital, they said. All the accused were absconding, they added.
