Sri Lanka have recalled batsman Russel Arnold after a year-long absence, following reports that the player has impressed with Sri Lanka A. Fast bowler Nuwan Zoysa returns after successful knee surgery and Muttiah Muralitharan is set to play for the first time in nearly a year.

The West Indies selectors have chosen seven players to go to Sri Lanka to replace the members of the West Indies "A" team who have joined the senior team for its tour to Sri Lanka.
