Five things that can make your beach outing a memorabale one.

Sunscreen: If you’re going to the beach, this is the single most important thing you must carry. Pick a sunscreen that is light, non-greasy and has an SPF higher than 20.

Hat: Hats or caps are second only to sunscreen in importance. Go funky with your hat, pick one with a wide brim and contrast it with your beach outfits.

Flip Flops: Pick light soled sandals that won’t sink into sand too easily. Select an inexpensive pair that will go with as many outfits as possible.

Sunglasses: The glare from the sun, especially when it reflects off the sea in the afternoon, can be rather hard to look at. Pack a pair of sunglasses; perhaps the teardrop shaped retro inspired ones that are flooding the markets these days.

An overshirt: The beach tends to get rapidly cool in the evening and downright chilly by night. Pack a long sleeved shirt or wrap that’ll keep you cosy as you party the night away.
