In the lull of the night, she peeps out. Dazzling is the moonlit night. While the world is in deep slumber, she sneaks out, her parents deep asleep in the next room. And she goes partying. That?s what the Gen X is doing these days ? breaking rules at midnight. We scrape the why of it.

In the lull of the night, she peeps out. Dazzling is the moonlit night. While the world is in deep slumber, she sneaks out, her parents deep asleep in the next room. And she goes partying. That?s what the Gen X is doing these days ? breaking rules at midnight. We scrape the why of it.Pooja Bansal, a marketing executive from the City, says, ?I know it?s wrong but sneaking out at nights has a charm of its own. We wouldn?t do it if parents were more lenient and easy with the whole concept. They don?t understand one simple logic ? partying is possible only night, not in the day?.Meeta, a student from an airhostess training institute in Sector 34, says, ?It?s not as if I am snaking out as a routine; but yes we go out once in a blue moon. My sister takes care when I am out and covers up for me if anything goes wrong. Disc-hopping and a drive uphill is the usual rendezvous and trust me, it?s fun to sneak out when you know that no one has even a hint of your whereabouts!??My girlfriend and I love our long drives at night,? says Gaurav Malhotra, an animation designer from SAS Nagar. ?It may be risky for girls to venture out at night but it?s cool for the guys. Who asks us anyways!? he replies. But what if something goes seriously wrong? With no one left with a hint as to where you are. ?But that?s the whole adventure! It gives you a kick,? says Preeti, an MBA aspirant who?s taking coaching from a centre in Sector-35. ?It?s fun to venture out at night. I mostly go out when my parents are out of station and it is the disc where we end up spending half the night,? she shares.?We move out in groups and it is usually me, my friend and her boyfriend. Our usual bahaana is that her parents are out of station, so we have to stay together,? confesses this student of IInd year MA English from Panjab University. Ditto for her friend, who says, ?If we are together; no one on earth can make out what we are up to and we usually go to my boyfriend?s house as he puts up alone in the City?.
