Windfall for Kanpur?s BNSD

BNSD SHIKSHA Niketan Inter College, Kanpur, came out with flying colours and dominated the merit list of the High School examination of the UP Board this year. In all 48 students of the college secured a place on the list.

BNSD SHIKSHA Niketan Inter College, Kanpur, came out with flying colours and dominated the merit list of the High School examination of the UP Board this year. In all 48 students of the college secured a place on the list. Shubhankar Khare of this college was declared the topper for 2006 examination with 538/600 marks (89.66 pc). Lucknow girl Akanksha Singh of Rajat Girls Inter College, Indira Nagar topped amongst the girl students in the state. She stood second on the merit list with 536 marks (89.3 pc). Kamini Yadav, also from this college, notched the 9th rank.

Two other students from SKD Inter College, Rajajipuram—Ankur Asthana and Ankit Yadav—secured 19th and 20th rank respectively.

The total pass percentage of the High School students this year is 71.66 pc. Once again the girls pip the boys. The pass percentage of girls is 76.76 pc while that of boys is 68.70 pc.

According to the merit list, the third rank was jointly secured by Ankur Pandey and Soumya Pandey, both BNSDSNIC Kanpur, with 89.16 per cent marks.

Besides, Punit Kaushik of BNSDSNIC secured the fourth spot (89 pc). The fifth spot was shared by Shivam Prasad Maurya, Ankita Tripahti, Avanish Kumar Singh of BNSDSNIC and Satya Prakash of MLM Inter College, Barabanki —all of them securing 88.50 pc. On the sixth spot were Anurodh Kumar of Sant GN Inter College Firozobad, Disha Rajput of SMS HS School Jasrana, Firozabad, Rupal Tyagi of BNSDSNIC and Anshita Kapoor of BNSDSNIC – all securing 88.33 per cent. Ashish Nigam and Suyash Mishra of BNSDSNIC shared the seventh spot with 88.16 per cent. On eighth spot were Ashish Kumar Singh BNSDSNIC and Sparash Singhal BNSDSNIC with 88 per cent. Kamini Yadav of Rajat VNM Inter College Lucknow, Neelanshu Shukla of BNSDSNIC, Sunil Kumar Singh BNSDSNIC and Manogya Tiwari BNSDSNIC were ranked ninth with 87.83 pc. On the tenth spot were Gopal Pandey, Kartik Tiwari, NK Singh, Prateek Kushwaha and Aditi, all of BNSDSNIC Kanpur. They all got 87.83 pc marks.
