"The in-laws allegedly poured kerosene on 22-year-old Tamanna Bibi and her two-year-son son before setting them ablaze in their house this afternoon. Her refusal to bring more dowry prompted her in-laws to kill them," DSP of Hussainabad, Surendra Prasad Singh told newsmen.

In an FIR lodged on the basis of Tamanna's mother, Sakina Bibi, it was alleged that her daughter was subjected to frequent torture for dowry since she got married to Izhar Khan three years ago.

The police detained Izhar's maternal uncle for interrogation whereas Izhar was reported to have fled from house.
