A 35-year-old woman was allegedly drugged and gang raped by three men at an under-construction building at Shalimar Garden area of Ghaziabad on Monday evening.

The victim was found lying unconscious on the road around 4.30 pm by locals residents, who informed the police. "She had been drugged and unable to speak properly.

She said she was gang-raped by three men in the building," said Kuldeep Singh, a local resident.

The victim, who was in a semi-conscious state, has named a person, Titu, and his friends who raped her. However, she was not able to tell clearly who Titu was.

"They offered me a cold drink which had been laced with an alcohol-type substance. Later, when I started losing consciousness they took turns to rape me," the victim reportedly told the police in her initial statement.

But she could not tell clearly whether Titu is her colleague or a friend, police said. She has been identified as a resident of Vijay Nagar in Ghaziabad and used to work with a private company at Sector 62, Noida.

The police have registered an FIR under section of 376 (rape) of the IPC against three unidentified men at the Sahibabad police station.

"She is repeatedly taking the name of one Titu. Once she is fit, she will be able to reveal the identities of those who assaulted her clearly. We will nab them soon," senior superintendent of police (SSP) Prashant Kumar said.

A medical examination had been conducted on the victim and the report is awaited.
