Poonam Anil Kadam, whose husband abandoned her and their two children six years ago for another woman, has been taking care of her in-laws since then.
According to Kadam’s police complaint, her friend met with an accident few days back and when she called him to enquire about his health her in-laws got angry and beat her up.
Later, they called a barber and got her tonsured, saying no man would now be attracted to her.
