Women ransack govt liquor shop
SCORES OF ladies under the banner of the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Mahila Morcha demolished a newly-constructed government wine shop in Basahi area under the Shivpur police station here on Saturday.

SCORES OF ladies under the banner of the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Mahila Morcha demolished a newly-constructed government wine shop in Basahi area under the Shivpur police station here on Saturday.
Hundreds of rural women including Vidya Chauhan, Kusum Patel and Sadhna Vedanti and Shakti Singh, Rajendra, Arvind Maurya ransacked the shop.
The women activists staged a massive demonstration and blocked the road to protest the administrative sanction for setting up of the liquor shop here. The road blockade ended shortly after intervention of police.
According to information, the wine shop was recently approved and constructed in a temporary manner. The shop was supposed to be inaugurated on Saturday evening.
