Workshop on ageing issues

THE MADHYA Pradesh unit of HelpAge India is organising a two- day workshop on ‘Ageing Issues’ on May 30 and 31. The proposed workshop will be held at Hotel Lake View Ranjit.

The objective of this workshop is to discuss studies and detailed researches on age related issues. The researches will be shared with public and Government to draw attention and to sensitise society towards the elderly.

This two-day workshop will be attended by young ‘Vriddh Mitras’ of different villages. These Vriddh Mitras are young boys who are working among aged people in villages.

Senior officer of HelpAge India Latika Ghotge, Siddharth Pandy, Ranjan Shrivastava, State Head - MP and Sanjoy Sharma Advocacy Officer will be present during the workshop.

HelpAge Training Officer Aastha in a statement issued here today said efforts were on to organise old age people in groups. “For this we are encouraging them to form groups in each village and also to form Vriddh Sanghs within five villages so that they can fight for their rights,” she added.
