World’s biggest ice cream cake

A throng of ice cream scoopers in white lab coats converged on Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square to build the world’s biggest ice cream cake using 20,000 pounds (9,071 kg) of ice cream, 200 (90 kg) pounds of sponge cake and more than 300 pounds (136 kg) of icing and OREO cookie crumble.

A throng of ice cream scoopers in white lab coats converged on Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square to build the world’s biggest ice cream cake using 20,000 pounds (9,071 kg) of ice cream, 200 (90 kg) pounds of sponge cake and more than 300 pounds (136 kg) of icing and OREO cookie crumble. The cake took 100 people, 14 hours to complete on Tuesday. Donations went to the local, world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children.
