Yet another engineer from Andhra Pradesh was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Atlanta in USA on Feb 2.
R Sudhir Kumar (31), a native of West Godavari district, was found murdered in his flat at Atlanta, where he was working as a mechanical engineer with Toyota Automobile Company, family sources said.
They said that Sudhir was out of touch with his friends from Saturday and did not attend office on Monday. He did not talk to his family since Saturday too, though he used to telephone every day.
One of his close friends, Madhukar got doubt and informed the police and together they went to his flat. They found him lying in a pool of blood.
"We came to know the tragic news only this morning when madhukar called to inform us. We have not heard from us authorities or from the company," the deceased's father R Sreerama Murthy, a contractor based at Hyderabad told HT.
Sudhir had visited the family at Hyderabad during the Sankranti Festival on Jan 14.he left for Us only on Jan17.His sister, Bindu Madhavi, working as a software engineer at Atlanta, came with him too and she was scheduled to leave for Us on Feb 6. The family was so busy in preparing for the girl's departure that they did not notice that the son had not called.
"We were looking for a match for him and wanted to perform his marriage later this year," Sreerama murthy said.
"He was happy and did not show any signs of stress when he visited last month, he further added.
The family is waiting for news from us authorities before deciding about their trip.
