Young housewife raped and killed
A YOUNG housewife was raped and killed in Kishni police circle on Saturday night. Rekha Batham (24), wife of Vinod Kumar Batham, had gone to ease herself in a field on Saturday night and did not return home.

Superintendent of police K Satyanarayana said the woman’s body was found in a field belonging to Rekha .
Satyanarayana said circumstantial evidence indicated she was raped and killed.
Her husband Vinod Kumar lodged a complaint of rape and murder against unknown persons.
The superintendent of police said police were investigating the case and the accused would be arrested soon.
Man shot dead
A MAN was shot dead and another seriously injured in Karapiya village in Bewar police circle in the district on Saturday night.
The superintendent of police said a long-drawn litigation had resulted in murder.
Sources said Dharamvir (29) and Raju were engaged in a conversation at the house of Dharamvir.
Their neighbours Upendra, Subodh, Gajadhar, son of Naresh, Sonu, son of Rajvir and Raju, son of Sobaran, started firing at Dharamvir from a rooftop. Dharamvir and Rajiv suffered serious gun shot injuries.
They were rushed to the district hospital. Dharamvir succumbed to injuries, while Raju was battling for life, when reports were last received.
