As her condition began to deteriorate, a swine flu test conducted on her revealed that she has been infected with H1N1 virus.

This was the fifth case of swine flu which has already claimed two lives this year. While two patients are still undergoing treatment, one has recovered from the disease. Sources said as she is a member of the nursing staff, the woman might have got the infection from one of the patients admitted to the hospital. The Choithram Hospital has asked its staff to report, if they possess any symptoms of the disease.
