Fancy number 0001 fetches Rs 9.62 lakh in e-auction in Indore

The Regional transport office (RTO) has sold a registration number for Rs 9.62 lakh on Thursday.
The number MP 09 CS 0001 was sold in an online auction. It was bought by a local firm, Asha Confectionaries. This is the highest price paid to secure a vehicle registration number in Madhya Pradesh.
The base price of the number started from Rs 1 lakh and late night on Wednesday the number was sold for Rs 9.62 lakh.
Some other numbers were also sold in the auction at a high rate.
The buyer has to pay the amount within seven days to the Transport department and register a vehicle in next 60 days.
