The district education officer (DEO) Kishore Shinde admitted that he has received report about middlemen on prowl at few exam centres and following which the department has formed a five member-panel to investigate the matter.

"It is very early to draw any final conclusion whether the report is true or false. The department will take its final decision only after thorough investigation into the matter," Shinde added.

Recently it came to fore that a few middlemen from the private institutions pay hefty amounts to examination centre heads to appoint examination invigilator of their own choice in particular classrooms where students of their institutions are appearing for the examination.

This year, to check the use of unfair means during the examination, the MPBSE has decided to allot examination centres only at the government and government-aided schools.

As per the report, the department is keeping a tab on few examination centres where middlemen are active.
