The boy, identified as Ujjwal, 4, son of Naresh Soni, resident of Sudarshan Towers, was taken to a nearby private nursing home. But, he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Ujjwal was a student of nursery at BD Toshniwal Maheshwari Bal Mandir in Chhatribagh area.

Police said the accident took place when driver Shyam Dubey was reportedly reversing the bus within the school premises without any rear-view guide. The driver probably missed Ujjwal standing right behind the bus and the boy came under the wheels.

Police from Chhatripura station rushed to the school and lodged an FIR against him after angry parents crowded the gates and shouted slogans against the school management.

The school authorities soon locked up the gates, declared holiday for Monday and principal Bhavna Pachekar dismissed the driver to quell the angry parents.
