At the start of the game, David Warner required 23 to reach the landmark but tight bowling by Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers kept him waiting till the ninth over of the innings.

It is Warner’s 114th match, with his best being 126, also against Kolkata Knight Riders, earlier in the season.

Warner started his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils and went on to become a hot property with his aggressive batting at the top of the order. He is the leading run-getter in this Indian Premier League (being 604 before the playoff game)

He was made the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2015 and helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad win the IPL trophy in 2016.

Warner eventually fell for 37, as he was dismissed by Piyush Chawla today. SRH posted a total of 128/7 from their 20 overs.
