Guest from ocean pays a visit to California residents. It’s a seal pup

A little one left the ocean to venture out on land and ended up on top of a set of stairs that lead to the front door of a house in a California neighbourhood. The unexpected guest that landed up in front of the home in Manhattan Beach was a seal pup.
Manhattan Beach Police Department took to Facebook to share information about the incident. They explained, in the caption, how the seal pup was rescued by animal control officials.
“We are a beach city and sometimes we get visitors from the ocean. This little guy was found at a house on the Strand. MBPD Parking and Animal Control responded and called marine rescue. Marine rescue determined he is very malnourished and in need of help. They have him on IV’s and will reintroduce him to normal food. Once healthy, he will be returned to the ocean,” they wrote.
Since being shared, the post has received varied comments from people. While some applauded the officials involved in the rescue, others wished for the animal’s speedy recovery.
“Poor baby! I hope he’s back in good health soon,” wrote a Facebook user. “Poor baby!! But lucky to have encountered amazing great humans for help. Thank you home owner, MBPD and Marine Rescue!” shared another. “Poor little pup. Praying he gets better and gets in the ocean soon,” commented a third.
