‘Mysterious object’ lands in Nagaur fields, villagers baffled

An unidentified object that was dropped through parachute in a field at Pancha Siddha village under Khinwasr police station in Nagaur, about 130 kilometers from here, on Wednesday created fear among the villagers.

Police reaching on the site took possession of the object and parachute by which it descended on the ground and started investigation into the matter.

“After information about some mysterious looking object was dropped in a field of Pancha Siddha village a police party was sent, that after reaching on the spot take the object in possession,” said Gaurav Srivastav, SP Nagaur.

“The object has something written in Russian on it. We have called in experts to find out what exactly the object is,” he added.

Meteorological department officials were also contacted as it (the object) appeared something to be used to read weather, said Srivastav.
