Bhattacharjee, in his letter, also called for central initiative for creating a Rs 20,000 crore fund for ensuring infrastructure development of states, Chief Minister's secretariat sources said on Tuesday.
States, he said, would be able to draw funds from it.
Bhattacharjee also suggested appropriate steps for ensuring steady credit flow by nationalised banks and for that the Centre should ask them accordingly.
The chief minister also suggested that the Centre sanction financial grant of Rs 10,000 crore for BPL housing projects.
