"The CPI-M is trying to manipulate the evidence in many important criminal proceedings in the state. The party has also stood by its cadres, Suhrid Dutta and Debu Malik, who were convicted for the murder of Singur girl Tapasi Malik," Banerjee told a press conference here.

She said the CPI-M was also sponsoring anti-social activities to terrorise common people.

"To protest the CPI-M's atrocity, our party will carry out statewide protests by holding rallies and street corners in the coming weeks," Banerjee said.
